Described as, "technically brilliant," by Dance Magazine, Mónica is an experienced, professional Flamenco dancer and instructor who along with her touring schedule, teaches master classes and gives lecture-demonstrations. She has performed in many fiestas throughout Southern Spain, including La Bienal de Arte Flamenco and La Feria de Sevilla. Her choreographies and style are influenced by her studies with many renowned Flamenco artists such as Eva "La Yerba buena", Ciro, Antonio Canales, Mario Maya, Juana Amaya, Farruquita, Belen Maya & others.

Monica is currently the artistic director of her own Flamenco company Arte y Compás which performs every Sunday evening at Timo’s in San Francisco, CA. The company features a variety of the Bay Area’s top Flamenco performers as well as nationally and internationally renowned guest artists. The company continues to pack houses at shows along the West Coast, Hawaii, and through national tours.
